Chapter 29: Worship the Lord
A Psalm of David.
David counsels to worship the
Lord in all his beauty and holiness.
“The Lord will give strength unto
his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace” (Psalms 29:11)
Chapter 30: Thanks unto the Lord
A Psalm and Song at the dedication
of the house of David.
“…I
cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.” (Psalms 30:2)
We are
reminded by David that if we ask God with a sincere heart (his will abiding) we
can be healed and we can have rest. In verse 4 of Chapter 30 we read; “Sing
unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his
holiness.” This to me is a reminder of why we sing at church and more
specifically why we sing before we partake of the sacrament as a remembrance of
Him and our covenant that we made with Him on the day of our baptism.
