Day 55; Ether 7-9
Scripture Thought (What I Learned):
Chapter 7: Orihah reigns in righteousness. During this time rival kingdoms are setup, the kingdoms of Shule and Cohor. Prophets condemn the wickedness and idolatry of the people.
Chapter 8: Their exists much contention throughout the kingdom, because of the two rival kingdoms that are setup. Akish forms an oath bound secret combination, wherewith they plan to overthrow the kingdom. We learn that secret combinations are of the devil, they are a result of the decline and destructions of nations who use them. We are warned in modern times of the devastating effects of secret combinations on nations, lands and countries that use them.
Chapter 9: The kingdom changes hands with descent, intrigue and murder. Many prophets cry repentance unto all the people. A famine and poisonous serpents plague the people.
